DESCRIPTION
In order to protect the citizens of the town, provisions for the protection, preservation, maintenance and use of inland wetland and watercourses by minimizing their disturbance and pollution through the following powers and duties as established by the Connecticut General Statutes.
 
 
The Commission tries to balance the continuing growth in town and the need for economic development with our goal of safeguarding the health, safety and welfare of the residents of Willington.
The purpose of the Conservation Commission is to protect the town's natural resources and maintain and improve environmental quality.
The Willington Economic Development Commission is available and prepared to assist you in locating your business in our town.
The Willington Historical Society was established in 1968 when the Conservation Commission convened the first informational meeting.
The Board of Finance performs all of the administrative tasks involved in budget preparation. In addition, the Board is responsible for the Town's accounting system, preparing the annual report, and providing for the annual municipal audit.
