TOWN OF WILLINGTON
MINUTES
SPECIAL TOWN MEETING
March 2, 2005
The meeting was called to order at 7:00 p.m. by Michael Eldredge,
First Selectman read the call of the meeting and asked for nominations for a
moderator. Wilbur Gangaway made a motion to appoint Michael Eldredge
as moderator and was seconded by John Blessington.
Motion carried.
Item I
To see if the townspeople, on the recommendation of the Board of Finance, will authorize the expenditure of $45,000 from Capital Projects – LOCIP – Wells for Senior Housing Water System to be reimbursed by LOCIP for the purpose of providing 3 water wells for the development of the Senior Housing Water System .

A motion was made by John Blessington and seconded by
Wilbur Gangaway to approve Item 1.
Discussion followed
Selectman Eldredge explained the monies we have for the Senior Housing Project. The $4,000,000 HUD monies we received can not be used for the 3 water wells for the water system for the senior housing.
We acquired $150,000 from a STEAP Grant and $100,000 from Federal Appropriation
which will leave us short for the water system.
Motion carried.
A motion was made by Robert Hisey and seconded by Christine Psathas to adjourn the meeting at 7:25 p.m.
