As of June 15, 2009 the Willington’s Tax Office will no longer accept credit card payments at the office window. The lower interest rates have resulted in increased bank fees charged to the Town. That makes it impossible to continue to offer this convenience without incurring a cost.
You may still pay by credit card through Official Payments at 1-800-272-9829, jurisdiction code 1707 or online at www.officialpayments.com
The first tax installment on the 2008 grand list is due during the month of July 2009 (no later than August 3, 2009). Any payments received after 8/3/2009 will be charged a 3% penalty, with an additional 1 1/2% each month the account remains delinquent. The second tax installment on the 2008 grand list, along with the motor vehicle supplemental bills, are due during the month of January 2010 (no later than February 1, 2010). Any payments received after 2/1/2010 will be charged a 3% penalty, with an additional 1 1/2% each month the account remains delinquent.

The collection rate on the 2006 current levy for fiscal year 07/08 was 99.25%.
