W.A.M Senior Services
W.A.M. provides services to seniors in the towns of Willington, Ashford and Mansfield. We offer resources to get information on or about issues facing our seniors, offer counseling on available benefits, assist with completion of applications for benefits programs and provide referrals and support as necessary.
W.A.M. is funded by a grant received from Senior Resources, an Eastern Connecticut Area Agency on Aging. All persons living in these towns age 60+ are eligible for this program. These services are provided at no charge to the participant, however, participants may make voluntary contributions if they choose at any time. Contributions are and will continue to be used to defray the operational costs of these services.
The W.A.M. office is located in the lower level of the Willington Town Hall at 40 Old Farms Road. The office is open Monday-Thursday. Please call the W.A.M. office at 487-3128 for questions or to schedule an appointment. (Due to the nature of our services, we may be out, visiting clients in their homes, so appointments are strongly recommended).
If you feel that you are treated unfairly or discriminated against in any way you may file a grievance with the W.A.M. Program Director at 487-3118.
