I. Call to order
L. Semprebon called the special meeting to order at 7:04 p.m.
Present: H. Arico, T. Gareau, C. Mailhos, M. Makuch, C. Psathas, and
L. Semprebon.
Absent: D. Tharp (on active duty)
Also Present: C. Berglund, D. Harding, C. McNamara, D. Sullivan, and D. Latincsics
II. Motion #1: C. Psathas moved to: move Item III – Superintendent Contract – to the first order of business.

Unanimous Motion Carried
III. Motion #2: M. Makuch moved to: approve contract between Willington Board of Education and David Harding, 7/1/07 – 6/30/2010.
H. Arico 2nd
Unanimous Motion Carried
IV. Motion #3:H. Arico moved to: approve the proposed budget of $7,353,601, a 5.67% increase, for 2007-2008.
C. Mailhos 2nd
Unanimous Motion Carried
V. Motion #4:M. Makuch moved to: approve the payment of Dr. Berglund’s accumulated sick days benefit in ten payments –the first nine payments of 10 days each, and the tenth payment the balance after subtracting the first nine payments and any sick days used.

Motion #4: M. Makuch moved to:make payment schedule one payment per month beginning 2/2/07 for the months of February through May, and two times per month during the months of June, July and August, from the 2006-2007 budget, final payment being the remainder balance payment.
