Minutes
I. Call To Order
The special meeting was called to order at 6:30 p.m. by D. Tulis.
Present: Board members: D. Tulis, S. Bourbeau, D. Radell, L. Semprebon and D. Tharp
Absent: H. Arico and K. Cushman
Also Present: C. Berglund, D. Harding, B. Lysik, J. Panicek and parents
II. Discussion and possible action on Freedom of Information matter concerning personnel
matters.
Motion #1: S. Bourbeau moved that: the Willington Board of Education enter Executive Session
to discuss the performance and employment of a public
employee pursuant to Connecticut General Statute Section 1- 200(6)(A) and invite Superintendent Berglund and Attorney
William Sawyer to attend.
L. Semprebon 2nd
Aye: Unanimous Motion Carried
The board returned to public session at 6:58 p.m.
No action taken on the request for reinstatement of employment since G. Carson has withdrawn her request.
Motion #2: D. Radell moved that: the Willington Board of Education ratify the Superintendent’s acceptance, dated December 23,
2003, on behalf of the Board of Ms. Gigi Carson’s
resignation dated December 21, 2003, to be effective
on January 2, 2004, and also ratify the Superintendent’s January 21, 2004 acceptance of Ms. Gigi Carson’s
January 20, 2004 resignation letter.
