TOWN OF WILLINGTON
MINUTES
SPECIAL TOWN MEETING
October 11, 2006
The meeting was called to order at 7:00p.m. by Michael Eldredge.
First Selectman read the call of the meeting and asked for nominations for a
moderator. Jack Lewis made a motion to appoint Michael Eldredge as moderator and was seconded by Christine Psathas.
Motion carried.
Item I
To see if the townspeople, on the recommendation of the Board of Finance, will authorize the appropriation of $10,000 from the General Reserve for the purpose of reorganizing the Hall Memorial School Library.
Item II
To see if the townspeople, on the recommendation of the Board of Finance, will appropriate $100,000 from the HUD Lien Program Income Fund for the purpose of funding the Senior Housing drainage project pending final State approval.
Moderator read Item I
A motion was made by Christine Psathas and seconded by Laurie Semprebon to approve Item I.
Discussion followed.
The monies are going to be used for tables for the children, fix area for activities and an electronic system for the books, etc.
Motion carried.
Moderator read Item II
A motion was made by Jack Lewis and seconded by
Gregory Thomson to approve Item II.
Discussion followed.
Motion carried.
A motion was made by Laurie Semprebon and seconded by Mark Palmer to adjourn the meeting at 7:10 p.m.
