Scouting for Food - Willington Food Drive
Every fall, Scouting collects non-perishable food to assist those in need. The food collected by the Cub Scouts (Pack 82) and Boy Scouts (Troop 82) stays in Willington and directly benefits Willington families. In the past 14 years, Boy Scouts and Cub Scouts in Willington have collected over 52,810 items for the local food pantry.
If you are able to donate non-perishable food items, please place them in this bag and leave it on your front step or porch where it will be clearly visible from the road. A scout will pick it up between 9:00 AM and 3:00 PM on Saturday, November 14th. If your bag has not been picked up by 3:00 PM, please call Steve Park at 429-8656.
Cub Scouts is a year-round program uniquely designed to meet the needs of young boys ages 7-10 and their families. The program offers fun and challenging activities that promote character development and physical fitness. Boy Scouting, one of the traditional membership divisions of the BSA, is available to boys who have earned the Arrow of Light Award and are at least 10 years old. The program achieves the BSA's objectives of developing character, citizenship, and personal fitness.
